This May 7th, SRA Ministries will celebrate the graduation of over 130 adult learners and 32 children from its English and Citizenship programs. The event honors resilience, growth, and the powerful impact of education on families and the community.

Led by Ramiro Marroquín IV, SRA Ministries’ Ascend! program is transforming citizenship preparation by focusing on conversation, reading, and writing in English. Students from across the Metroplex are gaining confidence and real skills to succeed on their citizenship journey.

At SRA Ministries, senior adults are preparing for the U.S. citizenship test through the Ascend! program, with classes taught in Spanish for those who qualify under USCIS guidelines. This initiative empowers participants to confidently take the next step toward citizenship in a supportive and community-centered environment.

At SRA Ministries, learning English has become a family experience. Parents and children attend classes together, building language skills, confidence, and lasting memories through shared educational journeys at Jubilee Park.

SRA Ministries hosted a dynamic Talky Thursday event at One Arts Plaza, bringing together English learners and local professionals for a night of conversation, cultural exchange, and community building. Supported by Powering Purpose and Industrious, the event highlighted the impact of partnership in creating meaningful learning opportunities.

SRA Ministries proudly participated in the Dallas Latino Festival at the Arts District, engaging families, sharing programs, and welcoming new students of all ages. The event provided a vibrant space for the community to learn more about English and citizenship opportunities while celebrating culture and connection.

This summer, 85 participants—including 20 children—joined SRA Ministries for an unforgettable experience of learning and connection. Through literacy nights, family activities, and educational field trips across Dallas, families strengthened their English skills while creating lasting memories together.

This month, we celebrate Lizbeth Soto, an inspiring graduate of our Path to Citizenship program, now called Ascend, who recently became a U.S. citizen. Originally from El Salvador, Lizbeth worked tirelessly while attending our in-person citizenship preparation classes at Jubilee Community Center, overcoming challenges and building confidence with the support of our caring teachers and team. Reflecting on her experience, she shared how the program made her feel valued and prepared, unlike others she had tried before. Her success is a testament to the power of education and community. The spring semester of our Communicate program is off to an incredible start, with over 100 adult learners joining our English and citizenship classes at Jubilee Park and Community Center, as well as new offerings at our Mockingbird Station location. From beginner to advanced English classes and a unique Spanish program for professionals called Hablemos, we’re empowering individuals to build confidence, connect with others, and transform their lives through language. On June 26, 2024, SRA Ministries proudly presented at the North Texas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce meeting. Our team shared current programs and future plans, inviting attendees to our "Bingo for Communicate! 2024" fundraising event on July 21st. Special thanks to Ms. Acela Gomez Garrett, NTHCC President, and all participants, including the Dallas Police Department's Unidos Dallas Program and CUTX's Credit Union of Texas and her community engagement person Ms. Verónica who presented their new product for the Latino community: Banco Latino. On June 25th, SRA Ministries celebrated the certification ceremony for Verano al CIEN! / Summer Blast 2024, with 55 participants, including families, enjoying English conversational classes and Dallas field trips. This program offered beginner, intermediate, and citizenship preparation courses. Participant Guadalupe Farfán praised the program, saying, "This summer was really a blast of an experience for me." SRA Ministries is thrilled to announce a major milestone in our mission to better serve the community. On May 25th, Angel Del Rio, Founder and CEO, signed a lease with Lucid Private Offices, establishing our new headquarters and Immigration Services Office at 6060 N Central Expressway in Dallas. This new office will enable us to provide direct, professional services and expand our offerings.

SRA Ministries' Summer Program returns for its third year, kicking off on June 4th at Jubilee Park and Community Center in South East Dallas. With over 50 adults enrolled, this year’s program promises engaging opportunities to enhance conversational language skills that include family-focused learning and exciting cultural outings.

On May 9th, Jubilee Park and Community Center celebrated a significant milestone with the graduation of our adult education program participants. The event was graced by Municipal Representative Jesse Moreno, who delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of this achievement for families and individuals in Dallas. This celebration, marking the third year of our program, showcased the dedication and hard work of 75 adults who completed the "Communicate!" English Leveled Program, signaling a bright future for our community.

In response to the urgent need for accessible immigration services, SRA Ministries proudly introduces its latest endeavor: the Office of Immigration Solutions. With a focus on affordability and quality, this online service offers personalized consultations to address various immigration needs within the Dallas Metroplex community.

In April, SRA Ministries celebrates the incredible strides made through its adult education program, Communicate. By offering ESL classes and citizenship preparation, the organization continues to witness profound transformations within individuals and families across the metroplex.
